Verification Criteria

Overview

The Verified by DePIN Hub program aims to establish trust and transparency in the Decentralized Physical Infrastructure Networks (DePIN) industry by verifying projects against a comprehensive set of criteria. These criteria are designed to evaluate a project's viability, transparency, and alignment with industry best practices.

Projects are assessed across eight key categories, each with specific focus areas and scoring thresholds. To be granted verification, a project must achieve a minimum total score of 75 out of 100 points. The projects are expected to be cooperative and as transparent as possible.

Evaluation Categories

1. Problem-Solution Fit

We assess whether your project clearly defines a specific problem, understands its target customer, and offers a compelling value proposition that effectively addresses the customer's pain points.

2. Competitor Analysis and Differentiation

We evaluate your understanding of the competitive landscape, including key competitors or alternative solutions, and how your project differentiates itself with a unique competitive advantage.

3. Revenue Model and Scalability

We look at your current and potential revenue streams, the transparency of your revenue reporting (preferably on-chain), scalability plans to achieve significant growth, and mechanisms for distributing revenue back to token holders.

4. Hardware and Node Network Feasibility

We examine the feasibility of your hardware requirements and node network, including the distribution of hardware deployment among node operators, the activity and scalability of your node network, and the accessibility and cost-effectiveness of the required hardware.

5. Team, Funding, and Endorsements

We assess your team's experience and expertise, current funding stage, backing from reputable investors or organizations, and any endorsements from notable industry participants.

6. Tokenomics and Governance

We evaluate the robustness of your tokenomics model, including token distribution, vesting schedules, and emissions forecasts, as well as your governance structure and plans for future decentralization or changes.

7. Roadmap and Milestones

We review your project's roadmap to ensure it has clear, achievable milestones and timelines that demonstrate a realistic path forward.

8. Transparency and References

We consider your project's transparency in operations, availability of verifiable data sources (like revenue data and node APIs), active engagement on social media platforms, and openness in providing information to stakeholders.

Note: The verification criteria are subject to change based on industry developments and community feedback. We are committed to continuous improvement to better serve the DePIN community.
